The broken Gift

We had such promise.
We had so much hope.
But we also came bringing death.

We came wearing our Nationality
on our faces, on our clothes.
We wanted a better life.

Ranting patriots desiring a country of
equality, of value.
They prepare the Soil for the seed,
The seed of liberty.

We caress this seed by the bloodshed
of our wars and the injustice of
what the seed was planted for.
Over time the seed grows,
but an unexpected growth has occurred.

The sapling that has grown is
not what it seems.

The sapling you see before you
appears beautiful and virtuous but has
bore mutilated fruit.

Greed.Lust.
Wrath.Pride.
Sloth.Gluttony.
Envey.

Can you taste it?
Do you notice how sweet it tastes. How
it trickles down your throat. How fuzzy
it makes you feel inside?
How it never quite fills you up..

The everlasting lust of consumption
can't be quenched yet everyday we try to
do so.

We have Mutilated her purpose.
We have decimated her hope.
We have twisted the foundations on which
she was built on.
We have destroyed her,
We have destroyed America.

Apology Poem

Deer Mommy,

I know I'm not soposd to go in your room wen you not home.
but i wen the babysiter fell asleep I got bord.
I know you always tell me to nock beforI come in, but you wernt hom so I just went in.
After making sure all your shoos fit right, I found this box.
I thought there would be more shoos in it but there was onli stoopid magaseens.
I think the peeple in them were getting ready to take a bath becus they had no cloths on.
So wen Nana came by, I asked her to reed them to me wile i take a bath.
Then she made me go to bed.
love, Suzi

p.s. sorry fr blowing up all the baloons in daddy's night stand.

Hoffnug (Matrix Peice)

Sudden chills slither down our spines,
We can start to hear them. We can hear, the beating of the war drums.
Druming, druming. Druming.

They appear marching out of the obsidean night.
Their footsteps crushing dreams and wishes.
Marching, marching. Marching.

We see their faces, the demonic faces.
Their lips twisted with gnarled grins that bring tears to our eyes.
Crying, crying. Crying.

The explosion of gunshots and explosives don’t interupt their perfect rythem.
The wailing of screams is like music to their ears,
They don’t hesitate.
Screaming, screaming. Screaming.

They round us up and contain us like rats in a sick scientist’s experiment.
What is left of their humanity is slowly bleeding,
their souls fadeing.
Bleeding, bleeding. Bleeding.

We see a purging light from this darkness. A great fire that radiates a shinning door,
A way to escape. The feelings of desperation are gone
and are quickly replaced.
Burning. Burning.Burning.
Hoffnung.

You are quiet By Elliot Luedtke

Hello, Jury.
ladies and gentlemen, listen to me if you could.
There is something that you will want to hear.
A crime is in effect, someone has stolen my sweet silhouette
For the meaning of lust apparently has the same for love.

The stars have not crossed, for the sky is obscene
Skies are a blur to those who cannot see
Wanting to see something but instead seeing another
You think your heart is aching for no one other.

No suckling has pierced me with his bedeviled arrow
For he is dormant in his narrow bassinet
The quiver is adrift and can’t be found.

Roses are not red, for they are not in season and
The violets are not blue, not being in bloom.

So to conclude my statement listen if you would,
to the sense that i am making if you could.
Only to notice that truth that is so hard to grasp,
That Love is a joke and can never last.

Midnight Stalker (300) By Elliot Luedtke

A lonely stranger walks down an empty road. But he is not alone. Feeling a presence that is obscured, he cannot quench the feeling of light. He quickly turns around to catch his stalker but he is not in sight. He only sees the rugged sidewalk. He only hears the rustling of the trees. He knows there is something that will not leave him alone.

Hoping the dark will keep him at bay, he stays under his bed time covers. He finds staying by ones he loves only brings more demons to life. Others seem not to care that there are stalkers everywhere. Grinding his teeth does not help the fear; there is not a sound. It seems that no one can see them.Dawn breaks and he wakes from his slumber only to find that they have grown much larger. He hopes that it was just a bad dream but he soon realizes they are not physical but are real.

He goes to bed wishing for a bright dream to ease him of the wraiths. But all he can think of is them. He cannot sleep, he is filled with fear. He lies awake thinking the demons will devour him if he slips away from reality. Midnight stirs and moonlight shines bringing more horrors to his side. He sits up and cowers in fear they creep closer and can see his tears. A light breeze hits his sweaty face they are getting closer. He reaches for his bedtime light!

They disperse and seem not to exist. He wishes they could see what they can see. He thinks to himself, with bloodshot eyes, "I cannot last. They are inevitable." He decides it needs to end. He quickly untangles himself from his sheets and runs as fast as he can. He runs out of his room and down the hall. He slams open another door and jumps on a bed, “Mommy, my shadow won’t leave me alone.”

Video Games By Elliot Luedtke

God. Don't you love the feeling of playing an online multiplayer game
and you are chasing someone and you grin thinking you are going to get
the person running from you
BANG
a quick splash of blood hits the screen and it drips off the TV
you swear realizing the sniper was across the street.
